Recruitment of Sportsmen in CISF against Sports Quota

Directorate General, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) (under Ministry of Home Affairs) Recruitment of Sportsmen in CISF against Sports Quota. Prescribed format of applications are invited form Male/Female Indian Sports Persons for filling up 176 Vacancies. The last date for submission of application is 22nd January 2015.

Pay Scale

Assistant Sub Inspector/Exe - 79

Between 20 to 25 Years

PB-I Rs.5200-20200 plus Grade Pay Rs.2800/-

Head Constable/GD - 97

Between 18 to 23 Years

PB-I Rs.5200-20200 plus Grade Pay Rs.2400/-

Sports Discipline wise Vacancies:

Athletics -> 35 (Male - 20, Women - 15) 
Boxing -> 05 (Male - 02, Women - 03) 
Judo -> 12 (Male - 03, Women - 09) 
Swimming -> 18 (Male) 
Weight Lifting -> 20  (Male - 10, Women - 10) 
Wrestling –> 26 (Male Only) 
Gymnastics –> 04 (Male Only) 
Basket Ball –> 16 (Male Only) 
Football –> 16 (Male Only) 
Hand Ball –> 07 (Male Only) 
Kabaddi –> 11 (Male Only) 
Volley Ball –> 06 (Male Only)

Educational Qualifications:

Assistant Sub Inspector/Executive -> Bachelor Degree from a recognized University. 
Head Constable/General Duty -> 10+2 or equivalent from recognized institutions /Board.

Physical Standards: [Weight - Proportionate to height and age as per medical/Sports standard]

Proficiency in Sports:

Individual event

i) Should have represented the country as a member of Senior /Junior International tournament. He should also have a medal winning performance in Senior /Junior National Games /Championship during the last edition.

Should have represented a State or equivalent unit National Games/National Championship in Senior/ Junior level during the last edition or

ii) Any medal in all India Inter University Championship during the last edition.

iii) At least Gold Medal in National School Games /Championship during the last edition.

Team Event

i) Should have represented Senior 
/Junior team in international 
tournament during the last edition or

ii) Member of Any Medal winning team in Senior National Games/ 
Championship during the last edition.

i) Should have represented State team or 
equivalent unit in National Games 
/Championship in Senior /Junior level during the last edition or

ii) Member of medal winning team in All India Inter-University Championship during the last edition.

iii) Gold Medal in National School Games/ 
Championship during the last edition.

Selection Process:

Trail /Test in sports events -> Those who fulfill the eligibility criteria will be put through the test in the sports event to which he/she belongs. This organization will not be responsible for any accident/injury caused to the candidate during the course of trail/test.

Final Selection -> Final Selection of candidates will be made strictly according to merit taking into consideration the performance of the candidates during the course of trail/test though the achievement/performance of the candidates during the last two years will also be taken into consideration.

Medical Examination -> The finally selected candidates will be got medically examined and their appointment in the CISF would be subject to their fitness in the medical examination.

Application Fee: Rs.50/- in the form of Postal Order drawn in favour of the officer mentioned in official notification and payable at the post office. No fee for SC/ST and Ex-Servicemen candidates.

How To Apply: Only those meritorious sportsmen/sportswomen apply on the prescribed application format. Completed application addressed to concerned DIsG/CISF, so as to reach latest by 22/01/2015 and in case of residents of North East region by 29/01/2015 along with attested Photostat copies of required documents.
