Responsible for driving and delivering on HR initiatives that attract, engage and retain employees through ICON’s people leaders. Provides one-on-one coaching and facilitates leadership training sessions to actively enhance people leadership capability that delivers on retention, engagement, positive employee relations, business continuity, compensation & benefits, performance management and employee career paths. Influencing business issues while handling multiple projects for an assigned country/countries and/or business work stream - may be responsible for multiple locations or businesses. May act as back-up to Regional HR Lead and be a point of contact for HR Business Partner. May manage other HR staff.

· *Work closely with the HR Service Centre team to ensure smooth transition of employee relation issues and ensure clarity on when matters should be escalated.
· *Work with HR Business Partners and HR Centers of Excellence to identify, implement and deliver on people strategy plans (ie organizational design, culture plans, employee engagement) and processes.
· *Develop strong working relationships with people leaders and employees providing HR generalist support, guidance and direction in alignment with HR Centers of Excellence initiatives.
· *Provide a proactive HR consultation service to people leaders on employee relation activities. Advising and coaching them on how to manage ER issues (eg disciplinary, performance management, redundancy, long term sickness, flexible working requests etc).
· *Investigate and lead resolution of complex employee relations issues. Working with internal/external legal counsel to ensure corporate compliance and risk management of all issues.
· *Collaborate with HR Business Partners and other HR Generalists to identify local opportunities for HR activities, initiatives and communication across the business that delivers on integrated HR solutions in support of a positive and engaged working environment and improved business results.
· *Maintain compliance and consistency in application of applicable laws, policies and practices.
· *Work with people leaders on talent management, development and succession planning.
· *Analyze data as appropriate in order to understand and improve metrics relating to attrition, employee engagement and career development.
· *Lead and deliver on assigned projects in support of HR and ICON’s organizational goals.
· *Review and update HR policies as appropriate to ensure these meet legal requirements in designated country or region
· Coach and manage less experienced HR Generalists as required.
· *Build strong relationships with people managers within your country (or countries) of responsibility and also with offshore Managers who have people management responsibility in these countries
· *Travel (approximately 10%) domestic and/or international as required

· US/LAT/CAN- At least 5 years’ experience working as a HR consultant or manager, delivering on people strategy plans and complex case management to a diverse business.
· EU/APAC- In-depth experience working as a HR consultant or manager,
delivering on people strategy plans and complex case management to a diverse business.
· Demonstrated ability to think strategically and independently with strong problem-solving, planning and organizational skills. Must be able to resolve conflicting priorities to meet tight deadlines.
· Change management and culture shaping experience, including ability to operate constructively in a changing environment, dealing effectively with conflict, influencing change, multiple priorities and new assignments.
· Strong coaching skills.
· Strong consultative and influencing skills.
· Must be comfortable and have developed skills in delivering presentations and leadership training.
· Expert knowledge of broad range of human resource practices, employment laws and regulations in country of responsibility.
· Integrity and confidentiality.
· Excellent communication, written and oral.
· Competent computer skills
· Due to the nature of this position, there may be a requirement to travel. Therefore, dependent on the employee’s location, the employee maybe required to possess a valid Driver’s license and/or passport.
BS/BA or country equivalent, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration or MBA or country equivalent desirable.
Professional designations/certifications/licenses where required by country
Professional HR qualification (e.g. PHR/SPHR in the US, CIPD in the UK) a plus.
