Job description:
This position is primarily responsible for developing new technologies to meet the needs of our customers as well as internal technical strategies.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Research Engineer will involve in end to end Research and Development of designing of Air Pre – Heater (APH) & ESP parts, and be able to carry out basic Engineering mathematical calculations to support the design decisions.
Responsible for all new development projects related to mechanical design and provide support to other engineering discipline.
Refine product & manufacturing process for improving efficiency & Reduce Cost.
Creation of designs and proposals for the new product development or improve efficiency of the existing product, service or process according to the requirements and specifications.
Developing prototype for equipment used for new development.
To assist other departments, and draw up new equipment according to the specifications and input from others in the team.
Scout for necessary and useful information to improve the company’s product range and manufacturing methods.
To liaise with the project managers to allow smooth integration of new equipment to test.
Participate in benchmarking and test competitive products to gain relevant information that can be applied to product specifications.
Gather any legal documents, including laws, regulations and patents, that are necessary for determining the project’s feasibility.
Experience : Freshers, Industrial Experience of 2+ years is a plus
Education : B.E. / M.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science
Skills Required:
Analytical and creative thinking, flexibility and communicability.
Should be a team player and have the ability to work well unsupervised, manage their time effectively and be self motivated.
Ability to work on multiple projects.
Excellent Written and oral communication skills in English is a must.
Knowledge in Fluid Dynamics, Wind Tunnel Testing and/or Materials Testing.
Flexibility in Timings and willingness to be involved in all aspects of the operation.
Ability to organize and document the work accurately.
Good computer skills. Coding experience in Mat lab, C/C++, Fortran is a plus.
Knowledge on 3D CAD, Pro/E, CATIA is a plus.
Focus on achieving the target.
Experience in ERP is preferable.
Good understanding of Health and Safety legislation and its practical applications.
