Within the Solar Business of Schneider Electric and the Utility Scale & Large Buildings Line of Business, and in a context of fast expansion of utility-scale PV markets across the globe, you are in charge of the Mechanical design for the LV Equipments in the project roadmap.

Position Description

Your role and responsibilities will consist in:

• Designing the Mechanical functions of the Electrical equipments embedded in Solar solution project roadmap: PV Boxes, Enclosures.

• Ensuring the product / equipment performances in line with marketing requirements & standards with a specific focus on reliability & quality of the design.

• Ensuring the design phases is compliant with the Schneider safety process.

Your main missions will consist in:

• Providing local support for product localization : PSS, part creation, local link with manufacturing teams ...

• Providing contribution for ETO projects under the supervision of the Technical Leader : traceability, Symphony, follow-up, technical support ...

• Using all the design to cost & design to quality tools (DFMEA...) to ensure global targets of performance & reliability.

• Contributing to the verification & validation plan according to performances, quality, and reliability requirements.

• Providing all the technical documentation and deliverables according to the project planning.

• Performing tests during all the project development phases: Engineering prototypes, manufacturing prototypes …

• Design to Manufacture methodology is absolutely necessary.

Tools: 

• Pro-Engineer, PSS, Symphony, Tempo, AutoCAD.

Profile

• Strong Experience in Mechanical engineering.

• Previous experience in Mechanical Design in PMP is a plus.

• In line with the stakes of Solar activity, we are waiting from you engagement, autonomy, and a result oriented mindset.

• We will appreciate flexibility, open-mindness.

• You should be comfortable in a fast moving activity, that requires quick decision making process

• Comfortable in multi cultural environment.

• Professional English required.

• In a context of strong expansion of the photovoltaic market across the world, Schneider has decided to play a key role and to be soon ranked among the 3 main players of the market.

• Within the Solar Business of Schneider Electric, you will work in the Solar Solution Offer Creation department.

• You will work in close collaboration with the other activities: Electrotech design, monitoring & control designers, marketing, industrial, purchasing, quality, and will report functionally to the Technical leader.

• In the context of the development process and localization of some offers, you will have the opportunity to travel in several key countries (Canada, Spain, France…).

Qualifications

Minimum qualification = Mechanical Bachelor's degree
