Job Description
JD: The candidate will be responsible for design & detail metallic & non-metallic light structure components. Minimum education required is engineering graduation in Mechanical or equivalent. Position will be to work from EDCI-Chennai. Basic knowledge on analysis will be added advantage. We are open to invite candidates from automotive sector for this position. Candidate must have following technical skills. • Good knowledge on creo/proe with advance modelling & detailing. • Must have good knowledge Plastic (Roto & Injection moulded) & FRP materials components design. • Basic knowledge on GD&T. • Knowledge in sheet metal product design, should be familiar with weld design & process. • Overall experience should be 3-10 years. Candidate with following technical skills will be preferred. • Knowledge on pro mechanica • Knowledge on Cat systems • Knowledge on SN curve study, stress & strain prediction, modal study & basic non linear analysis. • Knowledge of Caterpillar detailing & modeling practices • Knowledge on Cat tools like CPPD, Nitromation will be added advantage. • Knowledge on CPI / NPI process. Candidate must have following non-technical skills. • Capability to handle communication independently with overseas customer. • Should have excellent written & oral communication skills. • Should be fast learner.
