Role Summary/Purpose:
To develop Energy Management and Distribution Management software application for Power on Reliance Product
Essential Responsibilities:
The Software Engineer provides direction and assistance to work group in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
Should have actively programmed in Core Java/ Advanced Java under unix/linux environment and is expected to be practically conversant with the most commonly used libraries. The candidate will have to be hands-on and will be required to solve complex programming requirements. Also the candidate should have good understanding of software development life cycle
Work closely with the business unit to ensure application development meets product specification requirements
Experience with code coverage and static code analysis tools
Strictly follow all quality and documentation processes
Working knowledge of Relational Databases (Oracle, Sybase etc)
Design, implement and test software, ensuring quality specifications are met.
Participate actively in design and code reviews
Drive performance and reliability enhancements
Close interaction with customers to drive requirements and customer satisfaction
Qualifications/Requirements
1. B Tech/BE/ME/M.Tech in Electrical/Computer sciences from reputed institutes
2. Good knowledge in Design and implementation with CoreJava/ Advanced Java code
3. Ability to work in a group environment as a team player and be flexible with product change requests.
4. Solid communication skills (oral & written)
Desired Characteristics:
Additional experience with code-writing in a variety of programming languages
· Exposure to Agile Development
· Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
